Content and Compensation Disclosure

For most of the articles or posts, I receive no compensation.

Unlike paid newspaper and magazine writers, all of the content on this blog is within my control. I determine the topics I write about, the content of each article or post and what advertising, if any, appears on this site.

I write from the heart and the head, not from the wallet.

Like paid magazine and newspaper writers, I may write in exchange for compensation. I accept and keep free products, services, website subscription, travel, event tickets, giveaways and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations in exchange for an objective, written review.

Integrity Matters

I am compensated for my honesty, my writing ability and my knowledge - or lack thereof - of a particular subject. I do not accept compensation for pre-determined positive reviews. Integrity matters and I care what my readers think of my writing and me.

When writing for compensation, I offer one guarantee to my readers, advertisers and sponsors: I will write an objective review based solely on my experience with the product or service. Not all articles or posts for which I am compensated are marked as “paid” or “sponsored” content. In other words, paid or sponsored content may not be identified as such.

Advertising Disclosure

I accept paid advertising, sponsorship and paid insertions. However, I will reject all forms of cash advertising and sponsorship for products and services I believe are out of context or misleading. I will also summarily reject poorly-written paid insertions. The INTP and INTJ in me just can’t bear poor grammar.

I also accept third-party advertising from Google. I am not in control of the advertising content served up by Google.

Affiliate Programs

I am an Affiliate or Partner of several businesses and will write whole-heartedly about products that work.

Many businesses depend on word-of-mouth marketing. When I find a product that functions (for me) as advertised and I see value in that functionality for others, I will write and receive a percentage of the sale of that product.

As an affiliate, I receive no compensation for writing. Compensation, if any, is based on product sales that originate from my writing.

Business Disclosure

As a Web Marketing Architect and Internet Business Strategist, I consult with online business owners specifically to review, outline and improve their overall online strategy. In this capacity, I make both product and people recommendations.

Business Ties
I own FoodGiftGourmet.com and its sub-brands. I also own myBrandAdvertising.com.

I will write about these companies and will promote them as well. It will be clear in each post or article that I own these sites.
