The Money in Domaining is in the Development?

The word “potential” is very near and dear to my heart. It suggests a positive difference that can be bridged. It inspires hope.

The internet is the embodiment of potential. And The World Wide Web is a classic manifestation of The American Dream. When you consider that an ordinary person can buy a domain name for less than the cost of a meal with the potential for several forms of freedom as a result of that purchase, you realize just how powerful that potential is.

Crossing the potential gap, though, requires some input of energy. And I am always still surprised and now more than a little miffed at folks who think that a Domainer / Developer has it “easy” and does not “work.”

The Domain King

“If today is your first day of being a domain investor, good luck. Your job is to copy old paths and forge a new path. A new direction. You are never too late so don’t defeat yourself.”

Domain Investors or, domainers, speculate in the domain name industry by purchasing domain names and later capitalizing on that investment. Each domainer has her own (or his own) idea of what a potentially “good” domain name is, and actively seeks to aquire domain names that fit his or her profile.

Domainers capitalize on their investments in one of several ways.
