One of the blogs I enjoy reading is Jason Cohen’s blog, “A Smart Bear.” I’ve never met Jason but I like him. Unlike some folks out there in the web universe, Jason hasn’t tried to peddle a load of marketing fodder to his readers. Instead he simply writes from his heart about being in business with a voice that rings true.
I’ve been in business for a few years. I credit my husband with teaching me business basics. More recently, I sought the advice of my cousin’s husband regarding my particular business. It was clear to me I needed a mentor. One of the surprising tidbits I learned from him was that he joined a local group of CEO’s when he was new to business.
Jason’s post is in a similar vein. It’s about a new website venture, an online community of sorts, for entrepreneurs called OnStartUps.com. But this community has a twist. And I’ve already signed up.
I won’t re-hash Jason’s post. It’s worth the read if you are a business owner or are thinking about starting a business. You’ll want to know why OnStartUps.com is (or isn’t) for you. You can read Jason’s post here: A Smart Bear: Ask your StartUp Questions.
